Yolanda McKinney-Foy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. With a deep commitment to mental health and well-being, Yolanda’s career began working with adolescents in a level eight Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facility, where she gained invaluable experience in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and crisis management.
Building on this foundation, Yolanda transitioned to a dual-diagnosis treatment facility, where she worked with both adults and adolescents dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues. Her diverse background allows her to effectively support individuals with complex needs, fostering their recovery and personal growth.
In 2024, Yolanda was recognized as a Qualified Supervisor, further enhancing her ability to guide and mentor emerging mental health professionals. Her approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and a commitment to individualized care, helping clients overcome challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
