Patricia Diaz, Ph.D., LMHC, QS, NCC - Assistant Clinical Director
Patricia is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida and received her doctoral and master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Counseling at FAU where she helps to prepare the next generation of counselors. Her clinical and research interests are mastery in psychotherapy and the importance of the therapeutic relationship in client counseling outcomes. She has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with addiction, mental health problems, and typical developmental concerns.
Patricia offers individualized, client-centered, evidence-based psychotherapy to clients struggling with addiction utilizing a variety of counseling approaches. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused therapy. Her approach is a relationship-focused, strengths-based approach to helping, with a healthy dose of humor when needed. She is dedicated to forming a supportive alliance with her clients while they navigate their journey towards sustained recovery and a fulfilling, meaningful life.
