Katina Thompson, MSW, LCSW - Clinical Director

Katina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida and received her master’s degree in social work from Barry University. She is also a Qualified Supervisor with the State of Florida. She is currently a candidate for her Doctor of Social Work form Florida Atlantic University. She has dedicated her career to working with individuals struggling with mental illness.

Katina believes in being in the moment with her clients and using herself as the tool to ensure a positive therapeutic outcome. She also believes in the therapeutic alliance and people’s ability to change their lives. Her approach consists of coming along side of the patient to explore root causes and patterns of behaviors that are repetitive in the patients live. Moreover, she believes in a relationship-focused and strength-based approach with clients.

Katina utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy to ensure clients obtain the appropriate skills to make lasting changes in their lives. Katina also places a special focus on the client’s spirituality to ensure patient’s focus on how they are a part of something bigger than themselves.
