A grateful recovered alcoholic and addict, clean and sober since August 25, 1996 – Gary K is a nationally renowned Recovery Educator, 12 Step Historian, Recovery Author, Circuit Speaker, 12 Step Advocate, CCAR Certified Recovery Coach and Trainer of Recovery Coaches.
Gary K is the Author of Hazelden Publishing’s newest best-selling 12 Step recovery book – “WALK THE TALK WITH STEP 12 – STAYING SOBER THROUGH SERVICE”. He is also the author and producer of 6 National Tours of the highly acclaimed live stage production “Pass It On…An Evening with Bill W. & Dr. Bob” the story of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous – in which he also portrayed the role of “Bill W.” – carrying the message of hope, healing and the miracle of 12 Step recovery in over 80 cities.
Gary has traveled from coast to coast in the U.S. and Canada serving as an Ambassador for our nation’s oldest and largest recovery advocacy organization – the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD, Inc.) and conducting 12 Step Recovery Education Workshops for high schools, universities, drug courts, legislators, law enforcement, medical personnel, and at military installations and state and federal prisons. A passionate recovery advocate – Gary appears as a frequent guest on nationally broadcast radio and Network television including on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, Clear Channel and National Public Radio.
Committed to carry the message of recovery to as many people as possible – Gary lends his time and skills as Director of Project Development for the International Recovery Education Campaign Film Project featuring Northern Light Productions landmark television documentary “ONE DAY AT A TIME – the History, Hope and Healing of 12 Step Recovery” slated for World Wide Broadcast through PBS and the BBC soon to reach over 600,000,000 viewers around the globe.
Gary is proud to serve as member of The Southeast Florida Recovery Advocacy Coalition and the Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition Drug Task Force.
